Brett
Vice President
Brett Chamberlin (he/him) is the founder and President of OPEN, a grassroots nonprofit advancing legal rights and cultural acceptance for non-monogamous families and relationships. A repeat nonprofit founder with over a decade of movement-building experience, Brett previously co-founded the Post-Landfill Action Network, a national organization empowering student-led environmental action that continues today as a worker-directed cooperative. He also served as the Director of Community Engagement for The Story of Stuff Project, a global nonprofit challenging the throwaway economy and fighting for systems where communities and ecosystems can thrive.
A relatively new climber, Brett can be found top-roping at Pacific Pipe or bouldering at The Oaks in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. As a member of the Queer Crush leadership team, Brett is excited to help more people access the joy and sport of climbing, build safe and inclusive spaces for all, and support community stewardship of the planet we all call home.
